Dome (\u003ci\u003e\u003cem\u003eElectronics\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e, Dec. 1946).  Our implementation of the \u003ci\u003e\u003cem\u003eDome Filter\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e is discrete, with outputs prepatched to the Program A and Program B inputs of the \u003ci\u003e\u003cem\u003eDual Analogue Multipliers.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe \u003ci\u003e\u003cem\u003eDual Analogue Multipliers\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e are two identical four-quadrant multipliers built using Analog Devices AD633s.  The module is prepatched to multiply a carrier from the \u003ci\u003e\u003cem\u003eQuadrature Oscillator\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e with an output from the \u003ci\u003e\u003cem\u003eDome Filter.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e  These can of course also be used as VCAs and ring modulators.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe \u003ci\u003e\u003cem\u003eAdder\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e is an analogue mixer that is prepatched to combine the outputs of the \u003ci\u003e\u003cem\u003eMultipliers.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e  To use the \u003ci\u003e\u003cem\u003eKlangumwandler\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e as a frequency shifter, simply patch the signal you wish to process into the \"Dome In\" jack and the result will be available at the \"Mix\" output.  Adjusting the \"Frequency\" control will determine the shift amount. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlease note: to use the module with vocal signals, some additional processing is encouraged.  A preamp is likely to be necessary to raise the input signal up to modular levels.  Likewise, an envelope follower and VCA can help to shape the signal as found in Harald Bode's \"squelch\" implementation.  ARC will release a 3hp module with these functions in the future, but many such utility modules are already currently available.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe produced the \u003ci\u003e\u003cem\u003eKlangumwandler\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e to have features and controls exposed that are usually hidden behind the panel on standard frequency shifters and to celebrate the work of Bode and Dome.  The submodules of the \u003ci\u003e\u003cem\u003eKlangumwandler\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/i\u003e are powerful analogue computer blocks.   Please experiment.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSpecifications-\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eModule Width: 9hp\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMounting Depth: 34mm\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCurrent Draw: 60mA (+12V), 58mA (-12V)\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Noisebug","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":48396283576490,"sku":null,"price":725.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0020\/5199\/7743\/files\/ARC_KLANG_01.webp?v=1781133464","url":"https:\/\/www.noisebug.net\/products\/arc-modular-klangumwandler","provider":"Noisebug","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
