Die Antwoord Apparat, meaning "answering machine" in Dutch, is based on an old chip that can record sounds in a kind of lo-fi beautiful quality - but the sound is more higher and warmer.

Both switches down - Record mode

Record your voice, the sound of a piano, a music box, a kalimba, or any other sound source you can think of using the built-in microphone, or patch the Input jack to record audio from elsewhere in your modular. Control speed of the sound and the spots with the knobs or using external modulation with the CV jacks.

Both switches up - Filter mode

With the switches up, you can patch an oscillator or any other audio source into the Input and use the large center knob to control the cutoff of a very lo-fi experimental filter.
