XO Gold is a compact experimental percussion instrument built around a mechanical spring resonator with a built-in pickup and digital effects processor. The spring acts as the sound source, which you can play by hand or trigger electronically.

It can function as a percussion instrument, a resonant sound generator, or an unusual effects processor.
