Description
Make Noise expands their NUSS system with the Gestural Time Extractor (GTE), an 8-channel pulse extractor and channel index translator for CV that derives pulse and gate signals from a single CV source. The GTE is capable of generating up to eight individual channel pulses, a pulse stream derived from motion of the input signal, and two gate sources representing either even or odd channels. While perfectly capable in any modular system, it works especially well for the NUSS system, connecting via a rear-mounted ribbon cable to a number of NUSS modules. This is particularly powerful with PoliMATHS, which gives you a direct translation of the Channel Index signal by extracting gates as the index shifts from one channel to the next.
Using the Space control, you can adjust the sensitivity of GTE's channel switching by controlling the threshold proximity of each channel to the next, making GTE more or less responsive to channel switching. A Clock input makes it so that an output channel will only change upon reception of a trigger or gate, making it a cinch to sync with other events. Whether you're directly integrating with another NUSS module for channel index timing control or extracting gates and pulses from any unique CV source in your system, the GTE expands the expressive depth of any rack by creating complex rhythms and timing signals from a singular input. The Make Noise GTE is exceptional for generating rhythms, useful for individual or multi-voice timing, and of course is an integral part of the NUSS system.
GTE FEATURES
- 8 Channel pulse extractor and NUSS Channel Index translator
- Span input takes CV and converts to pulses that correspond to signal motion
- Clock input syncs pulses to clock
- Connects to NUSS systems
- Syncs Activations from PoliMATHS and MultiWAVE
- Space parameter adjusts threshold proximity of the channels
- Works great as a Channel Index Translator for PoliMATHS
