UDO DMNO ON
Building on the original DMNO keyboard, UDO's DMNO ON is a desktop adaptation that includes the full feature set from its larger sibling, but places it in a slimmed down interface and form factor. It's perfect for musicians and producers who love the sound of the DMNO engine but may not need another entire keyboard in their studio or want to mount it on a VESA-compatible stand. It features an eight voice polyphonic synthesis engine with two-part multi-timbral voicing. Pairing high-resolution FPGA-powered oscillators with analog signal path and complex DSP FX section, the hybrid workflow provides a near limitless sonic palette.
The dual FPGA-based oscillator design features primary centroid oscillators and six sister oscillators apiece with phase offsets to create truly massive sounds. Cross modulate or sync Oscillators 1 and 2 and select from both standard waveshapes and complex waveforms. Run the oscillators into the multi-mode, multi-core analog VCF section in parallel, series, or stereo configurations. Add extra expression with UDO's high performance 32-bit DSP effects chain, including syncable delay, rich reverb, multi-mode distortion, parametric EQ and lush chorus.
Create massive stereo spacing by putting DMNO ON into binaural mode. Turning on Binaural mode splits the eight voices into a pair of four part 'super' voices, split into each ear. Offset the timbre, detuning, and modulation of the two parts to create everything from subtle spreading to dramatically contrasting stereo synthesis. Select between DMNO's eight iconic play modes to affect how the two synth engines interact. These cover a huge range of behaviors, from dual voice to split keyboard to round robin playing to curated random and complex cascaded oscillator interaction.
DMNO ON provides plenty of options for modulating, modifying, and animating your sounds using the modulation matrix. Modify your sounds using a variety of sources including LFOs, envelopes, aftertouch, and an envelope follower. However, you also get an arpeggiator, sequencer, extensive MIDI integration, and a pair of assignable CV inputs to bring your sounds to life. Save and recall both individual DMNO layers and full system-wide settings in two separate banks. DMNO ON also doubles as a 2in/2out USB audio interface, letting you both record directly into your DAW. The DMNO ON includes a high quality robust D-Sub connection that interfaces with its expanders. These auxiliary units expand the number of real time controls, augmenting the performance possibilities of the DMNO ON. DMNO ON from UDO is the ultimate hybrid desktop polysynth combining an advanced FPGA-based oscillator architecture, analog multi-core filters, and high performance DSP engine.
